Synthesia is the UK’s latest unicorn after securing $90 million in Series C funding at a post-money valuation of $1 billion.
Synthesia, first backed by MMC in 2019, is a London-based AI video creation platform for enterprises. Its software allows people to make their own digital avatars to deliver corporate presentations, training videos — or even compliments to colleagues in more than 120 different languages.
Accel led the round, joined by NVentures (NVIDIA’s venture capital arm), and participation from earlier investors including MMC, Kleiner Perkins, GV, Firstmark Capital, Scale AI CEO Alex Wang, and Datadog CEO Olivier Pomel.
