Henry Emson heads up MMC’s private placement activity whereby HNWs, family offices, LPs and corporate can directly invest in deal opportunties alongside MMC’s managed funds. The bulk of this investment activity is undertaken by the MMC Syndicate, a group of 100+ family offices and UHNWs that Henry manages.
Before joining MMC in 2016, Henry worked for an early-stage cleantech venture, and has syndicated and co-founded three consumer internet businesses. His other past roles have included investment manager at a private equity family office and working at a boutique corporate finance house.
Henry’s work also includes developing relationships for MMC’s institutional funds.
Henry has a BA from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and holds a CISI Level 3 Diploma in Corporate Finance.
Outside of work, Henry is passionate about planting and protecting forests. He founded The Great Reserve in 2019 with the aim of planting 100,000 Giant Sequoia trees, the largest tree species on earth and currently on the IUCN Endangered Species Red List.
