Bruce Macfarlane is the managing partner and co-founder of MMC.

As one of the most experienced VC investors in Europe, Bruce has a deep understanding of how to support and grow early-stage businesses and always looks to help founders build and lead high-performing teams. He is a member of MMC’s Investment Committee and a qualified executive coach.

Bruce has overall responsibility for MMC’s portfolio and works closely with several companies including Gousto, C the Signs, Sano, PocDoc, and Agamon. Exits include Interactive Investor (sale to Abrdn), Current Health (sale to Best Buy), Somo (sale to CI&T), Small World (sale to Equistone), Neoss (sale to Care Capital), LoveHomeSwap (sale to Wyndham), Breathing Buildings (sale to Volution), Base 79 (sale to Rightster), MoneyExpert (sale to TCV), Total Mobile (sale to Lyceum Capital), Immedia (IPO), and OneClickHR (IPO).

Before founding MMC Bruce was an investment banker at Merrill Lynch and Bankers Trust and, earlier in his career, an M&A lawyer at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York.

Bruce has a BA in English from Leeds University and is a Chartered Director. He qualified as a barrister in London and an attorney in New York.
