- George Mackerron, Mappiness
George is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Sussex, where he teaches Behavioural Economics and PhD quantitative methods, and runs the Mappiness study into in-the-moment happiness. He also maintains some popular open-source projects and provides software development consultancy to tech startups. George will talk about the deep learning models that power the new Mappiness app and are powered by the 250,000 photos already taken by Mappiness users
